Privacy Policy

The short version: your images never leave your device. Every NextG Design tool processes images locally in your browser — there is no upload step, no server-side image processing, and no image storage. Like most free websites, we do use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used and Google AdSense to show ads that keep the tools free; both are described in full below.

Your images

All tools — including the AI Photo Editor, Background Remover, Image Upscaler, compressor, converters and metadata remover — process images entirely in your browser using JavaScript, the Canvas API and (for background removal) an AI model that runs locally via WebAssembly. Your photo is read from your device, processed on your device's own CPU/GPU, and the result stays in your browser until you choose to download it. Images are never transmitted to us, to Google, or to anyone else, and they are never included in analytics or advertising data.

Information collected automatically

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, to understand how visitors use the site — for example which pages are visited, how people arrive (search, links), the type of device and browser, and approximate location at country or city level. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to do this. It does not receive your images or anything you edit. You can learn more in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services, and you can opt out using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Our own visit counter

We also run a small visit counter on our own server, without cookies. When a page loads, your browser sends us the page address, the site that linked you here, your browser language, your screen size, and whether this is your first visit. Our server works out the device type, browser and operating system from your browser's user agent. To count unique visitors without identifying anyone, it combines your IP address and user agent with a secret value that is replaced every day and keeps only a short scrambled code. The IP address itself is never stored, and the code can't be linked to you or to your visits on other days. In the photo editor, we also count which tools and AI features are used, by name only. Your images and anything you type are never sent. Detailed records are deleted after about 13 months; only total counts are kept after that. If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, nothing is counted.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

We use Google AdSense to display ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.

Where the law requires consent before non-essential cookies are used (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland), you will be asked for your choice through a consent message, and ads may be non-personalised or limited if you decline.

AI models, code libraries and fonts

The AI features download their models and code from public content delivery networks the first time you use them, so they can then run on your device: the background segmentation model from staticimgly.com (via esm.sh), the Magic Eraser, Colorize, Restore, Select Object, Lens Blur and AI upscale models from huggingface.co, the face model and its runtime from storage.googleapis.com and cdn.jsdelivr.net, and the ONNX Runtime library from cdn.jsdelivr.net. Pages also load fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com). Like any web request, these include ordinary technical information such as your IP address and browser type, handled by those providers under their own policies — but never your images or anything you edit. Your browser caches the files (the editor keeps AI models in your browser's Cache Storage) so they usually aren't downloaded again.

Hosting logs

The hosting provider that serves these pages may keep basic technical access logs (such as IP address, requested page and timestamp) for security and operational purposes. These logs never contain your images, because your images never reach the server.

Information you choose to send us

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to reply, and we don't add you to any mailing list.

Cookies and local storage

Google Analytics and Google AdSense set cookies as described above. The site itself stores a few small values in your browser's local storage: whether you chose the light or dark theme, whether you've visited before (for our visit counter), and whether you closed an announcement. Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, privacy laws such as the GDPR, the UK GDPR, the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 or US state laws may give you rights to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of your personal information, and to withdraw consent. We don't hold images or user accounts, so most data relevant to you is held by Google under its own policies — you can manage it through your Google account and the opt-out links above. Changes to this policy

If what the site collects changes, we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date above.
