Cookie Policy
Last updated: 17 October 2026
NextG Design's tools don't need cookies to work — your images are processed in your browser and never uploaded. However, the site uses Google Analytics (to measure how the site is used) and Google AdSense (to show ads that keep the tools free), and both of these set cookies. This page explains what they are and how to control them.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. They're commonly used to remember preferences, measure visits, and personalise advertising. Similar technologies include local storage and device identifiers.
Cookies used on this site
| Provider | Examples | Purpose | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics | _ga, _ga_* | Distinguishes visitors and sessions to produce usage statistics | Analytics, third-party, up to 2 years |
| Google AdSense / Google advertising | __gads, __gpi, IDE, NID and others | Serving ads, limiting how often you see the same ad, measuring ad performance, and — if you allow it — personalising ads based on your visits to this and other sites | Advertising, third-party, typically up to about 13 months |
Google may change the specific cookie names it uses. For Google's own description, see How Google uses cookies and How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Local storage used by the site itself
We store a few values in your browser's local storage. theme remembers whether you chose light or dark mode. nx-seen notes that you've visited before, so our visit counter can tell first visits apart. nx-banner-closed remembers that you closed an announcement. Only the first-visit yes/no is ever sent to us, as part of a visit count; the others never leave your device. Tool settings such as brush size or quality exist only in the open tab and are discarded when you close it. AI models are kept in your browser's HTTP cache and Cache Storage so the next visit is faster; those files contain no information about you. When you open a photo from one of our feature pages, it is passed to the editor through your browser's own IndexedDB storage on your device and deleted as soon as the editor opens it.
Your choices
- Consent: where the law requires it (for example in the EEA, UK and Switzerland), you'll be asked to accept or reject non-essential cookies through a consent message before they're used.
- Personalised ads: turn them off in Google's Ads Settings, or via aboutads.info / youronlinechoices.eu.
- Analytics: install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
- Browser settings: every major browser lets you block or delete cookies. Blocking them won't stop any of the tools from working.
